        Adventure Level Disclaimer: 2.5/5
This variation of the Skeleton Gorge experience keeps all the magic of the forest, streams, and waterfalls—without the need to summit Table Mountain. Instead of a full mountain ascent, we’ll enjoy the Cecilia Forest contour paths, visit the charming Littlewood Waterfall, and explore the lower sections of Skeleton Gorge where the atmosphere is lush, cool, and jungle-like.

There are still a few short, steep bursts and rocky steps, but the route is manageable for anyone with a moderate level of fitness. No heavy scrambling, no big exposed ladders—just forest trails, trickling streams, and the adventure of walking beneath the mountain’s canopy.

        Fitness Level Required: 2.5/5
You should be comfortable walking 2–3 hours on uneven terrain, with some gentle uphill sections. The pace is steady, and there’s plenty of time to pause at viewpoints, soak in the forest atmosphere, and enjoy the waterfall. This is the perfect option if you’d like to experience the beauty of Skeleton Gorge and Kirstenbosch without the full summit push.
